My name is Shelby Ross, and I am the face behind Chapter Two: Alterations & Creations. My journey as a tailor, seamstress, & designer started when I was about 10 years old, as a young girl with the desire to find a fast and economical way to make sure Cassie (my American Girl doll), donned all my fashion visions & ideas. With the help and support from my grandma, I started learning the ins and outs of sewing, fabrics, notions etc. as tools to express my creativity and bring my ideas to life. My love for sewing & design followed me into college, where I earned my degree in Apparel Design and Development from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. My time in corporate has led me back to my roots of being behind the machine, channeling my passion for sewing, fashion, creativity and helping others. I am so excited to meet you, and learn how I can help you with your needle & thread needs.

 Chapter Two is about the next step, second chances, and re-envisioning something old into something new, making the good better. Through my work as a tailor and a creative, my mission is to support my customers in their next steps, whether it's alterations in preparing for a friend's wedding, re-purposing a sentimental item, or inspiring my customers through my creations or workshops. My goal is to empower the people I work with, whether it's a quick alteration or a meaningful creation. ​​
