These are some frequently asked questions and general guidelines to schedule alterations with me. Don't see your question below, please reach out to me on the 'Contact' page on my website.

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding. When should I schedule my first alterations appointment?

Schedule your first fitting 4-6 weeks before your event to allow enough time to complete your alterations and avoid any rush fee up-charge.

What should I bring to a fitting?

Plan to wear any shapewear or undergarments you will wear with your dress, as these things can impact the overall fit. Please bring your shoes as well to help make sure your hem is the perfect fit for your body!

How much will it cost for alterations on a dress?

Your cost will vary depending on the changes needed; bridesmaid alterations can range on average between $75-$200. Additional charges will be applied if the garment is considered a rush job (2 weeks or less). Any additional questions on cost/pricing, please contact me on my 'Contact' page through my website.

Are you open to any other types of alterations or custom services?

This is dependent on my current workload and ability to take on more work. Please reach out to my on my 'Contact' page on my website, and I would be happy to chat on what type of services you are looking for! Please note, I am not currently accepting any bridal or mother of the bride updates, though I am happy to make any local recommendations!

What types of payment do you accept?

At this time, I currently accept cash or check as a form of payment. Payments can be made at the first fitting or during dress pickup.

What if I am late or can't make my fitting?

If you are running late, please notify me via text to give me a heads up. Clients more than 12 minutes late will be considered a no show and the appointment will be cancelled. Arriving to the appointment 12 minutes late or more will incur a late fee of $30 in addition to the cost of services. This helps me be fair to other clients I am seeing during the day and not cut into their scheduled time.

 

Any cancellations will need to be notified 48 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled time. A cancellation less than 48 hours in advance will incur a $30 rescheduling fee. Any weather, health, or family related emergencies will be considered in determining if a rescheduling fee is charged. I understand that things come up and will work with you as they do!

I need my dress completed in a short amount of time, can you do this?

My ability to take on rush jobs is dependent on my workload at the moment, please reach out and we can chat if this is something I can help you with! Rush jobs typically incur additional charges as well; anything 7 or 14 business days from the day you pick up will incur additional charges.
